Circular walks in Cherwell

K5 Kidlington Wayfinding test-walks

Kidlington residents are being invited to test out new walking routes in the village.

Developed by Cherwell District Council’s K5 Better Together partnership, with the support of Kidlington Parish Council, the paths have been designed with families in mind, connecting-up neighbourhoods and encouraging parents, grandparents and children to explore their local area on foot.

Five routes are part of an initial pilot, with feedback from the test-walks helping to identify the most popular circuits with the aim of them becoming a more permanent offering for the village.

The routes vary in length from 1.7km to 5km, each offering a slightly different experience for the user. They will be marked with signs and lines to make them very easy to follow and they will have some fun and interesting features along the way.  Features such as games painted on the ground, bug houses, exercise spots, perhaps some art and a bench or two.  These are all open for feedback from the community and the survey enables you to give that feedback.  The routes will also be made more accessible and user friendly for everyone to be able to follow.

The project is funded by Sport England but to make sure we get those funds we need to provide the community feedback so your help in filling out our survey is appreciated.
