Travel planning
New development areas in Bicester such as Kingsmere and the Eco-Town have detailed travel planning commitments which require that their appointed travel plan coordinators work with residents, employers and schools within their site to reduce private car use.
Whilst Oxfordshire County Council ultimately oversee the implementation of these plans, the Active and Sustainable Travel Officer within the Bicester Garden Town team enables closer working with developers to achieve improved outcomes and resource sharing.
