Other sources of help
Falls prevention
If you have recently fallen a couple of times or more, Oxfordshire's Falls Prevention Team offers a one-off appointment for a falls assessment. This free service entails a detailed review of your medical history, bone health, blood pressure, medication intake, home hazards, and an assessment of how you manage everyday activities, with the aim of avoiding future falls.
For more information vist the Oxfordshire Falls Prevention Service website or contact the Falls Team for an assessment on 01865 903750 (7 days a week - 8am to 8pm).
Housing Options for older people
Some housing is designed for people over 55 years old. These schemes incorporate elements of personal care and are specially designed to cater to the needs of people as they get older, such as extra care and sheltered accommodation.
Dementia support and aids
We are partnered with Dementia Oxfordshire to provide practical tools to support people living with dementia diagnosis.
Home energy assessments
Our trusted partner, Better Housing Better Health, offers free home energy assessments and advice on reducing your energy bills and making sure your home is as warm as can be. We can refer you, or you can call Better Housing Better Health on 0800 107 0044 or email bhbh@nef.org.uk
