A Community Involvement Paper Consultation (31 July 2020 - 14 September 2020)
Consultation: Friday 31 July 2020 – 11.59pm, Monday 14 September 2020
Consultation is being undertaken to inform a review of the adopted Cherwell Local Plan 2011-2031. The Council has produced a Community Involvement Paper which is subject to a six-week period of public consultation. The Paper and related documents are published below and comments are invited.
At this early stage the Paper does not contain any proposals or policy options but highlights needs and issues to stimulate discussion and debate and to invite your contributions. This stage marks the commencement of a three-year process with further stages of consultation to follow where we will review the policies in the existing adopted Local Plan, the relationship to the emerging Oxfordshire Plan 2050 and the replacement of the remaining saved policies of the 1996 Local Plan.
We are also making a ‘call for sites’ and inviting comments on a Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report.

As a result of the current COVID-19 outbreak, we have made some temporary amendments to our Statement of Community Involvement (July 2016) related to how we publicise planning policy documents and planning applications. We have published an addendum to the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) to address consultation and engagement during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
As we are currently unable to place hard copy documents for viewing at our normal deposit locations we will post public notices at the deposit locations, explaining where the relevant documents can be accessed online and with contact details for those who may have difficulty in doing so.
If anyone has difficulty accessing the documents online, please contact the Planning Policy Team for assistance on 01295 227985 or email email@example.com.
