Community Gardens

Community gardens or growing spaces provide a space to grow your own food and to connect with nature. It is great to be part of a community project where you can get to know new people and enjoy spending time outside too. If you have time and want to learn more, then why not use these contacts to find out more about your local project. Click on the link for our leaflet or see details below:

Bridge Street Community Garden

Banbury Community Action Group’s Bridge Street Community Garden is situated in the heart of the town. All those involved in caring for the garden are volunteers. From first-time sowers to seasoned growers, everyone is welcome to join in the regular events which are held in the garden space. It’s also a wellbeing space with comfy benches and a hexagonal shelter where people can just come at any time, sit in peace and enjoy nature.

Forthcoming free events: please check their social media channels (Instagram and Facebook pages) for updates, potential additional events, unlikely unforeseen changes or cancellations.

Browing Road Orchard, Banbury

Banbury Community Action Group’s (CAG) Browning Road Orchard has so far planted lots of lovely heritage fruit trees in the park on Browning Road with people power and lots of tea and cake and the orchard is looking well established. Why not pop along and have a look at how all the different types of fruit trees are getting on.

The orchard is in Browning Road Park, just off the Bloxham Road in Banbury. Banbury CAG organise events in the orchard and are always open to new volunteers and ideas.
