Examination Overview

Submission 

Cherwell District Council submitted its Cherwell Local Plan Review 2042 to the Secretary of State for Independent Examination on 31 July 2025.

Planning Inspector(s)

The Inspector(s) will be appointed by the Secretary of State to carry out the independent examination of the Local Plan.

The Inspector(s) will consider the comments made to the Regulation 19 consultation and will identify matters, issues and questions to consider at the Hearing Sessions which will be held during the Examination.

Programme Officer

Louise St John Howe has been appointed as the Programme Officer

She is an independent officer of the examination and works on the Inspector(s) behalf, organising and managing the administrative and procedural matter of the examination process. The Programme Officer acts as the contact for anyone who has an interest in the examination, liaising between the Inspector, Representors and the Council.

Any matters you may wish to raise with the Inspector(s) should be submitted through the Programme Officer.
