Heyford Park Parish Council has made a formal application to Cherwell District Council requesting that the whole of the parish be designated as a neighbourhood area.
As Heyford Park currently lies within the Mid Cherwell Neighbourhood Area, which was formally designated in April 2015, Cherwell District Council sought comments on whether there was any reason why it should not make the designation. The consultation closed on 4 March 2024.
