Planning Performance Agreements

Planning Performance Agreements

A Planning Performance Agreement (PPA) is a project management tool which allows us to work with applicants within a framework of agreed timescales, actions and resources for handling particular applications. We look agree identifiable stages: such as pre-application, application, and post decision and plan for the required elements of each stage.

PPAs can be used for any application. Whilst we would expect them to be used for all major development proposals, their use for small schemes will also be supported on a case by case basis.

Entering into a PPA does not guarantee a planning approval

Further guidance on what Planning Performance Agreements are is available on the Government website.
