Shipton-on-Cherwell and Thrupp Parish Council Election
As there were no candidates for the scheduled election on 7 May 2026, the Returning Officer is required to re-run the election. The Notice of Election has now been published. Prospective candidates may submit nomination papers in person to the Returning Officer at the Cherwell District Council office, 39 Castle Quay, Banbury OX16 5FD. Nominations can be received between 10am and 4pm on weekdays. The deadline for nominations is 4pm on Thursday 21 May. If there are more candidates than seats, the poll will be held on Thursday 18 June.
