Bloxham Neighbourhood Plan
A Referendum relating to the adoption of the Bloxham Neighbourhood Plan was held on 27 August 2026. More information on the detail of the Neighbourhood Plan can be found on the Planning Policy pages of our website.

For a Neighbourhood Plan to be successful, as simple majority of votes is needed (over 50% of those voting) in favour of the Plan. The result is binding and comes into force as soon as the result is declared. The Local Planning Authority (Cherwell District Council) must formally adopt the Plan. A report will be submitted to the 5 October Executive meeting to recommend to the 19 October Council meeting that the Plan be formally "made" (adopted).
Kidlington West District by-election - 16 July 2026
Following the resignation of Councillor Dorothy Walker, a by-election was held in the Kidlington West District Ward on Thursday 16 July. There were two years left on the Term of Office, which is due to end in May 2028.
The Statement of Persons Nominated, Notice of Election Agents names and offices and Notice of Poll and Situation of Polling Stations have now been published.
