Bicester residents are invited to get creative and be a part of an exciting new public art project in the heart of Bicester.

A free community workshop, taking place on Sunday, 27 September at the bandstand in Garth Park, will give residents the chance to discover more about Bicester's new public art project, try their hand at stencil-making and create their own fox-inspired T-shirt to take home.
The workshop forms part of the wider regeneration work in Crown Walk and Pioneer Square led by Cherwell District Council and part-funded through the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which has already delivered a range of improvements, including greener spaces and additional seating in the town centre.
Led by Oxfordshire-based artists, Rawz and MES Crew, the hands-on session will introduce participants to stencil-making techniques and give them the opportunity to learn practical creative skills whilst creating their own fox T-shirt to take home with them.
Councillor Lesley McLean, Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to play a direct role in shaping a public art project that celebrates what makes Bicester special.
"By bringing together local artists, residents and our wider town centre improvements, we're creating opportunities for people to connect with their town in new and creative ways."
The workshop motif will be the fox, which symbolises Bicester's civic identity, the town's urban and rural landscape and creative and resourceful heritage.
People of all ages and abilities are welcome, and no previous artistic experience is required.
The free drop-in workshop will run from 1pm to 4pm at the bandstand in Garth Park on Sunday 27 September.
