Run by Cherwell District Council and Jobcentre Plus, and supported by Bicester Library, the event will be full of useful information for anyone looking to take the next step in their career, whether they are currently in work or not.

It will take place on Wednesday, 12 November at Bicester Library and will include representatives from sectors and industries such as retail, hospitality, warehousing, driving, and construction.

There will also be lots of advice for jobseekers on offer, including information on training and apprenticeship opportunities.

Councillor Lesley McLean, Deputy Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Finance, Property and Regeneration, said: “North Oxfordshire has a varied and vibrant job market, with lots on offer for those looking for work. Nevertheless, taking that next step can feel daunting.

“Bicester Jobs and Support Fair is a great opportunity for jobseekers to meet employers in a friendly setting, potentially opening their eyes to types of work they may not have considered before and helping them set their sights on new ambitions.

“A wide range of employers, support organisations and charity partners will be represented at the fair, and we warmly invite anyone looking for work to join us on the day.”

The fair will also provide an opportunity to explore volunteering options and learn how gaining experience can develop a compelling CV.

Representatives from organisations offering befriending services, support for the over-fifties, assistance for those with long-term health conditions, and mental health support will all be present at the event.

Bicester Job Fair is happening on Wednesday, 12 November, 10.00am to 1.30pm at Bicester Library, OX26 6JU and is open to everyone.
