Bicester Garden Town - Work and opportunities

A better work-life balance

As well as providing more homes, Bicester Garden Town is encouraging businesses to come to the area, bringing with them a range of good local jobs.

Bicester’s Local Plan outlines a variety of employment opportunities close to residential areas, from shops, restaurants and gyms to larger businesses located towards the outskirts of the town.

Excellent commuter links

Smaller businesses, start-up companies and entrepreneurial individuals are well catered for. Bicester is located in a prime position to commute to London and Birmingham, with excellent road links via the M40 and two main-line railway stations, reaching both major cities in under an hour.

Bicester is also at the heart of the knowledge spine between Oxford and Cambridge. Regular trains to Oxford run from Bicester Village station and the extension of the East-West Rail project will ultimately reach Cambridge via Milton Keynes and Bedford.

The London vibe without the commute!

For those looking to work in a professional environment closer to home, the two Perch coworking spaces in the town are the ideal solution.

The central Perch venue at Franklins House offers the sort of creative atmosphere you might expect in London, close to cafes and shops in Bicester Town centre and a short walk to both Bicester North and Bicester Village Stations.
