Before you begin
Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004 in the Hygiene of Foodstuffs, Article 6(2))
This form should be completed by food business operators in respect of new food business establishments and submitted to Cherwell District Council 28 days before commencing food operations. On the basis of the activities carried out, certain food business establishments are required to be approved rather than registered. If you are unsure whether any aspect of your food operations would require your establishment to be approved, please contact the Environmental Health Team at Cherwell District Council on 01295 227990 for guidance.

The information you provide will then be accessible to the Health Protection, Compliance and Business Support Team at Cherwell District Council and it is this team you should contact if you have any questions once you have registered.
When your business has been registered, one of our officers will carry out a food hygiene inspection.
