We do not collect abandoned shopping trolleys on behalf of stores and supermarkets. It is the responsibility of supermarkets to reclaim their abandoned trolleys.
If you see a discarded shopping trolley please contact the store or supermarket direct, or contact Trolleywise to arrange for the trolley to be collected. Trolleywise is a retrieval service that collect and return trolleys on behalf of major retailers.
Please only report abandoned trolleys to the Council if:
- the trolley is located on public land and has not been collected within 7 days of you contacting the supermarket or Trolleywise
- the trolley has been filled with rubbish and is on Council land
