Elections 2026

Local elections were held on 7 May 2026.

There were 16 district wards, each with one seat contested. In addition, two by-elections took place. One seat in the Banbury Calthorpe and Easington Ward and one seat in the Bicester West Ward. The results for these elections can be found here.

One parish council, Shipton-on-Cherwell and Thrupp, had no candidates. An election for this parish council was re-run. Details for this election can be found here.
