Communities across Cherwell have shown their strength and resolve while we have all faced up to the COVID-19 crisis

Parish and town councils, our churches, mosques and other faith communities, charities, community support groups and individuals have worked tirelessly to support the wellbeing of those who have needed help. We are all incredibly grateful for and indeed humbled by their selfless support.
At the same time, many of us are deeply troubled by recent events in the United States and are compelled to ask whether there are lessons for our own communities.
Our commitment at Cherwell District Council is for equality and inclusion for all. We strive for this in our workforce and in the way we provide services, but we know that there is much more to do. As your elected representatives, my colleagues and I need to hear your views.
We will not let this subject drop, but please do come forward and tell us how this is affecting you, your family and your community.
Councillor Barry Wood, Leader, Cherwell District Council.
