APCOA Parking, who enforce car park regulations on our behalf, may consider cancelling an Excess Charge Notice (ECN) where there are clear and exceptional extenuating circumstances. For example:
- In the case of personal illness that results in an over stay - on the production of a Doctor’s certificate.
- In the case of a vehicle breakdown - on production of a certificate or invoice from a vehicle recovery or repair company.
- If an ECN has been correctly issued but the motorist has purchased a valid ticket and produces this on appeal, and if it is clear that the motorist has inadvertently failed to correctly display the ticket, and it is their first and only contravention.
Please read our Enforcement Policy before making a challenge.
Please ensure to quote the excess charge reference and vehicle registration number in all correspondence..
