Note: It is the landlord’s responsibility to establish whether planning permission is required for any insulation works in a listed building or a property located in a conservation area and to obtain any necessary consent before applying.

Appropriate bearers and walk boards must be installed where joists are covered and access is required. The loft hatch must also be insulated and draught- proofed. |
Cavity wall insulation | 50 percent / £500 | Must be undertaken by an installer registered with the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA) following a survey to ensure the property is suitable for this measure. |
Attic rooms* and flat roof insulation | 50 percent / £3000 |
Using a proprietary thermal and vapour check installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.To achieve the appropriate U-value as set out in current Building Regulations |
