Graven Hill Local Development Order (Revision) 2017

The Graven Hill Phase 1 Local Development Order (Revision) 2017 (LDO 2017) has been made to facilitate the delivery of self-build dwellings on the site.

The Graven Hill Phase 1 Local Development Order (LDO) 2015 was adopted in December 2015 and then applied to the first 10 plots at Graven Hill that were submitted for Confirmation of Compliance.

Together with the Graven Hill Village Development Company, we identified some additional requirements and changes needed to provide further clarity and to address some minor issues. Following consultation, we adopted The Graven Hill Phase 1 Local Development Order (Revision) 2017 on 18 January 2017.

The Graven Hill Phase 1 LDO 2017 has been made to facilitate the delivery of self-build dwellings on the site. It simplifies the planning process and allows a range of development to be fast tracked whilst providing certainty that individuality and variety of design will be supported within the parameters set by the Masterplan and Design Code.

Confirmation of Compliance must be obtained prior to development as a condition of the LDO 2017. This is to provide certainty to self-builders, us (as; the local planning authority), and members of the public, that development proposals being brought forward under the LDO 2017 comply with the limitations, conditions and design parameters set by the Masterplan and Design Code.
