What about things we don't collect?

You can dispose of the following by leaving them on your blue bin on collection day:

  • Computer equipment
  • Video / DVD recorder / player
  • Computer
  • Printer

Use one of the household recycling centres to dispose of many of the things you don’t want. You can also use a private contractor, but always make sure you choose a reputable company that will legally dispose of your items.

If your items are too good to throw away you can:

  • Give them to a friend or neighbour
  • Donate them to charity
  • Sell them in a local newspaper
