Rural StrategyOctober 2008 – The first consultation phase for the Rural Strategy has now ended. The Strategy is now being re-drafted to take account of the consultation results. An action plan is being drawn up to detail how the strategy aims will be delivered. Our work is guided by the Cherwell Rural Strategy (new version currently being finalised) and the Cherwell Biodiversity Action Plan. Included in our work is the provision of support to rural communities and the promotion of healthy lifestyles. We support, monitor and guide delivery partners, maintain, improve and promote walks, rides and cycle routes. We negotiate and make Public Path Orders required to implement planning consents and provide ecological advice to inform planning decisions.
