Opening hours Galleries, Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm Tourist Information Centre and Shop, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8.45am - 5.15pm, Wednesday 10am - 5.15pm and Saturday 10am - 5pm Café Quay, Monday - Saturday 10am - 3pm Banbury Museum is open Bank Holidays 10.30am - 4.30pm, but closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Entry is Free of Charge Banbury Museum opened in 2002, and is situated in an attractive town centre and waterside location. The iconic modern building displays local history collections and hosts touring exhibitions. The Museum offers a family friendly approach, with a busy programme of activities and events for all ages. Banbury lies at the centre of a rich historic landscape that has evolved over millennia. Its gardens, houses, villages and towns are some of the finest in the country, and are testament to economic growth and prosperity. The Museum encourages research into the region's history, and with partners Banbury Historical Society, offers free access to over 50 years of research through these pages.
