Cherwell District Council has produced a draft appraisal for the Hornton Conservation Area and is seeking comments. The consultation runs from the 13 December to 18 January. As part of the consultation we will be holding an exhibition and public meeting on 13 December.
Please come along if you would like to get involved and find out more.
Hornton Conservation Area was first designated in 1988 and covers the main core of the historic village. The draft document is the first appraisal of this conservation area. It:
- analyses the special character and appearance that it is desirable to preserve or enhance
- suggests a management plan for the village
- proposes buildings for inclusion on the local list of buildings of special architectural or historic importance.
The exhibition is at Hornton Pavilion, Bell Street, Hornton OX15 6DB from 3pm to 6pm and the public meeting follows from 7pm to 8.30pm. For more information please visit www.cherwell.gov.uk/conservation, phone 01295 221846 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
