We at South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) are seeking to recruit part time NHS 111 Call Handlers for our call centre based in Bicester. The. This role is a in a busy, patient focused environment, handling calls from members of the public regarding urgent/emergency health problems.

Your role will be to effectively utilize NHS Pathways Triage software to provide the caller with an appropriate response to urgent healthcare needs within a timeframe, so you could be dispatching an ambulance or booking a GP appointment.

It is a challenging yet very rewarding role, and no shift is the same.

· Have a strong attention to detail

· Are computer literature including in MS Office packages

You will be required to complete a six week fulltime training course in NHS Pathways. This covers full training in our systems and then supports coaching in the call centre environment. Working pattern:

We have Part-time positions covering weekends, nights and evenings with shift lengths of 6 hours.

· Four on four off nights attracting 26.5hrs

· 12 to 18 hours working three weekends out of four

All staff will be expected to work Bank Holidays (inc. Christmas, Easter etc.).
