Anyone in receipt of disability benefit and living in Cherwell could be eligible for 50% discounts on recreational activities.

For an administration fee of £5 the Cherwell link card offers 12 months half-price admission to all of our pools and gyms. The card also offers many other activities including ten-pin bowling in Bicester, and if you are a young person who has a link card, 50% discount on our holiday road shows.

There are eight benefits which qualify the recipient for the Link Card:

  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Industrial Disablement Allowance
  • War Disablement Allowance
  • Incapacity Benefit for more than 28 weeks
  • Severe Disablement Allowance
  • A 'blue badge' parking permit

The Cherwell link card is excellent value for money with the £5 administration fee recouped in just 3 swimming visits or 2 gym visits. Please see leaflet available as a download for full activities list and additional information.

If you apply for a card as a disabled person, discounts may be claimed by you personally and any carer you need to have in attendance.  If a carer is required please attach proof of this to the application form. 

Application forms are available from any of our LinkPoints or can be downloaded from the website. The administration fee is payable by credit or debit card over the telephone by calling 01295 221803. You will be given a payment reference number which you will need to write on your application form.

Completed forms should be returned by post to Cherwell District Council, PO Box 27, Bodicote, Banbury, Oxon OX15 4AA along with one passport photo and proof of benefit received.
