Youth Arts Centre and our work in Bicester Bicester Young People's Centre, known as The Courtyard Youth Arts Centre, re-opened as an Early Intervention Hub on 1 September 2011.

We encourage the development and use of public art in many of our own schemes and building developments.

We believe that the arts are important because they bring enjoyment and pleasure, offer a fresh and different perspective and stimulate and enrich all our lives. The arts bring opportunities to participate and can also meet some deep needs in helping to foster a modern healthy lifestyle.

Following the Government's Comprehensive Spending Review and the Council's financial settlement, Cherwell District Council is no longer able to offer arts, sports and recreation grants. However, staff are available to discuss programmes of work and give advice on grant applications for other external sources of funding.
