Our bulky waste collections

If you have unwanted items like a bed, cooker, settee, table, fridge, freezer etc these can be collected by us for a charge of £20 for up to 4 large items (please note that a three piece suite counts as three separate items).

• No charge is made if you are over 60 years of age 
• Please note - We cannot take builders rubble, liquids or corrosives, poisonous or medical wastes, any glass items, mirrors or mirrored doors. Carpet must be cut into 4ft lengths before collection.
• Please telephone waste and recycling customer service to make a booking. Payment is made before the collection takes place. You can pay by cheque or with cash or a debit/credit card. Details will be taken when you contact us to make a booking and we will then let you know the collection day.
• We only take items that are specified at time of booking.

On collection day we ask that you leave the items outside in the same place that you leave your bins to be emptied by 7.00am.

Used furniture being loaded onto van If your unwanted items are in good condition there is the option of them being re-used. Below are a few places in the district that take some unwanted items.

Katherine House Hospice, Calthorpe Street, Banbury will also take unwanted items of furniture. Please contact on 01295 262973.

Faithworks Furniture Project, Banbury Community Church, Innovation Centre, Banbury collects unwanted items of furniture, electrical items and household goods and delivers these to residents referred to them by social services. Please contact on 01295 255911.

You can also take larger items of household rubbish such as old fridges, furniture or cookers to a Waste Recycling Centre (or 'tip') - follow the link on the right to find your nearest.
