Protecting our local heritage and promoting high quality urban design are important to people living and working in the area.
We manage our built heritage and promote high quality design ranging from the smallest structure through to the masterplanning of North West Bicester, part of the Bicester Eco Town.
Currently we have:
- 60 conservation areas
- over 2,700 listed buildings
- 59 scheduled ancient monuments
- 7 registered parks and gardens and
- a registered battlefield at Cropredy.
We also record undesignated heritage assets and curtilage listed buildings on a Local Register, a high level of protection for the historic environment."
