Graven Hill Phase 1 Local Development Order 2015

Following a four week period of consultation held late 2015, the council adopted the Graven Hill Phase 1 Local Development Order 2015. The Order came into force on 15 December 2015.

The Graven Hill Phase 1 Local Development Order (LDO) has been made to facilitate the delivery of self-build dwellings on the site. The LDO simplifies the planning process and allows a range of types of development to be fast tracked, whist providing certainty that individuality and variety of design would be supported within the parameters set by the Masterplan and Design Code.

Confirmation of Compliance must be obtained prior to development as a condition of the LDO. This is to provide certainty to self-builders, the Council (as Local Planning Authority), and members of the public that development proposals being brought forward under the LDO do in fact comply with the limitations and conditions set by the LDO, primarily the design parameters set by the Masterplan and Design Code.

PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Since the Graven Hill Phase 1 Local Development Order 2015 was adopted it has been applied to the first 10 plots at Graven Hill, submitted for confirmation of compliance. In applying the document some additional requirements and changes have been identified by the Local Planning Authority and Graven Hill Village Development Corporation to provide further clarity and address some minor issues.

The draft Graven Hill Phase 1 Local Development Order (Revision) 2016 has been produced and is currently out to public consultation. The draft document can be viewed from the right hand side of this page. If you would like to make observations regarding the revised LDO these can be made at Planning@cherwell-dc.gov.uk before Thursday 8 December 2016. Any observations received after this date may fail to be considered by the Council in determining whether to adopt the revised Order.
