Food and garden waste - brown binsFood and garden waste is collected as part of the standard household waste and recycling collection service.
Please do not put any of the following in your brown bin:
All food waste, cooked and uncooked can go into the brown bin either in a compostable caddy liner, wrapped in newspaper or loose. Also available at the Tourist Information Desk in the Banbury Museum
To order additional brown bins see 'Ordering additional bins' under 'See also' (left) The brown bin is collected every two weeks from the kerbside. Please ensure that your container is placed at the edge of your property by 7am on the collection day. To find out your collection day, go to the collection calendar on the right hand side of this page. If you have a home compost bin, some of your kitchen waste can be home composted instead of going in to brown bin. Look under 'see also' to the left to find out how you can start composting at home. |
